Governor’s Fashion Awards

HFM Signature Event

The MODERN Honolulu | 1175 Ala Moana Blvd | Doors at 5:30, Program at 7:00

Recognizing the great talent, skill and potential in Hawai‘i’s diverse and growing fashion industry, Governor Neil Abercrombie is reviving the prestigious Governor’s Fashion Awards as the show-stopping closing event of the inaugural Hawai‘i Fashion Month this October.  The awards will provide a platform to celebrate Hawaii fashion’s past, present and future as well as recognize professionals in more than a dozen categories across the industry, from retail and design to photography, beauty, styling and more.

Held at The MODERN Honolulu, and coordinated by Savoir Faire, the dynamic evening will be an occasion to applaud the creativity and legacy of Hawai‘i’s fashion community including special presentations honoring Hilo Hattie’s 50th Anniversary and Iolani Sportswear’s 60th Anniversary.  Through this event and others during fashion month, we promote Hawaii’s potential as a fashion destination, which can become a billion-dollar industry, while helping to revitalize our local economy and generate fashion-related jobs here at home.
